Oakville Resale Prices Reach 2018 High Levels

October Market Highlights
  • October average price of $1,246,118 is first time the $1.2 million barrier has been eclipsed in 2018
  • Average prices are now up over $200,000 versus the low-water mark which occurred in May of this year
  • However October volume was down by 9.4% versus last year, halting four consecutive months of annual volume growth
  • Sales volume activity continues to be strained by soft new listings performance

  • September volume up by 3.1% versus last year; marking fourth consecutive month of volume growth
  • September average price of $1,153,679 down slightly by 2.6% versus last year
  • Despite this slight price decline, overall prices have clearly bounced back strongly off the bottom which occurred in May
  • Market will continue to strengthen as new listing activity improves

August Market Highlights
  • August volume up by 6.3% versus last year; marking third consecutive month of volume growth
  • August average price of $1,179,288 up by 3.1% versus last year
  • Prices over past three months clearly indicate that the market has bounced strongly off its bottom (which occurred in May)
  • Buyers have finally moved past the negative impacts of the Fair Housing Plan (Apr 2017) and OSFI stress test requirement (Jan 2018)
