Boat Rally for Kids with Cancer in support of SickKids Foundation
For the fifth year in a row we will be participating in and raising funds for a cause close to our hearts – The Boat Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup in Muskoka on July 27th and 28th. Since its inception, annual events in Toronto and Muskoka have raised more than $19,000,000 for children’s cancer research treatment and care at SickKids.
This year a portion of the proceeds will go towards Camp Oochigeas which is a privately funded, volunteer-based organization that provides kids with and affected by childhood cancer unique opportunities for growth through challenging, fun, enriching and magical experiences.
At the Dan Cooper Group we are philanthropists at heart and are committed to giving back to the communities in which we live and work. Last month, for the second year in a row, we were the presenting sponsor of the 4th annual Snapd Oakville Charity Golf Tournament in support of The Oakville Hospital Foundation and Easter Seals Ontario.
From school fun fairs, The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton and The Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts we are constantly giving back and supporting our local communities.
When we come together and choose to fight children’s cancer, we are making a difference in the lives of children currently in the battle for life. The Boat Rally for Kids with Cancer raises funds for researchers to continue their groundbreaking and lifesaving work. Huge strides have been made, but there is still very important work to be done.
